'When it became apparent that Exact could not provide these API integrations itself, we joined forces with T-Box'
###NUTH – Agro-Solutions has been developing high-quality plant nutrition for the hobby sector, landscaping and professional agriculture and horticulture for almost twenty years. Behind this sustainable mission lies a challenging organizational structure with multiple collaborating BVs, which are closely connected in the areas of production, purchasing, sales and management. This places high demands on the administrative processes.
Sandra Martens, financial director at Agro-Solutions, saw the need for a future-proof system early on: “As our company grew, the need for control over inventory management, batch registration and full traceability also increased,” she says. “Not only for our internal processes, but also to be able to meet legal obligations.
The choice fell on Exact Online as the basic package. For standard accounting that was fine, but the mutual cooperation between our BVs required far-reaching automation and links. When it turned out that Exact could not provide these API integrations itself, we went into business with T-Box.”
Sandra: “The implementation of T-Box Intercompany Logistics resulted in a major efficiency boost. “Our processes are strongly intertwined.
When company A receives an order, company B must immediately switch to production and/or purchasing of semi-finished products. With more than 10,000 orders/lines per year, manual processing is simply not feasible.
T-Box has automated the entire administrative process: from work orders and deliveries to invoicing and CBS reports. For the latter application, the monthly declaration of fertilizers, a specific piece of software was developed, which uses logistical data from Exact to generate a standardized Excel format with which the declarations can be easily made.”
Sandra: “So there was some time pressure and I had very intensive contact with the consultant. I know a bit about what is possible and what is not and I am a systematic thinker. So I had already worked out various things.
Most of the solutions fell within the modules of T-Box Intercompany Logistics. During the implementation, a number of administrative processes emerged that we had not anticipated. Fortunately, we were able to respond to these quickly and adequately, so that our specificities were also taken into account by T-Box.
Everything runs as it should and is also automated. There are still a few actions that we perform manually, because they do not need to be performed often. But if this is necessary more often, we will certainly automate them as well. I am in favor of having computers perform as much repetitive work as possible.”
In the beginning I often experienced that I had to wait a long time for a response. I think that had to do with the tight staffing. I notice that this has improved recently. This is also partly due to the introduction of the T-Box ticket system. We have learned a lot from each other in recent years, and then of course your questions decrease as well.”
